19 of the Russian's twenty-one titles have been earned on hard courts
A revitalized Medvedev claimed his initial title for nearly 30 months with a win over opponent Moutet in the tournament final.
Medvedev, a ex- top-ranked player, has experienced a difficult year, achieving just a single victory at the major tournaments and undergoing a difficult moment at the US Open.
Medvedev's varied form on the tennis tour - and issues with his serve in especial - led to him falling of the elite rankings and ultimately parting ways with former mentor Gilles Cervara.
Currently training with Johansson and Goetzke, Medvedev has consistently advanced in the recent weeks - culminating in a closely contested 7-5 4-6 6-3 win over Frenchman Moutet.
This marks Medvedev's maiden title since the 2023 Rome Masters and first on a hard court since spring of that year.
Success also signifies he has won 21 titles at 21 various competitions.
"For the first time I have attended a event with my both daughters at once, so to secure a championship is especially meaningful," stated tennis professional Daniil Medvedev.
"This championship is in honour of my younger daughter her name, because the first title I got when my first daughter Alisa was delivered was for her."
Medvedev, the 2021 US Open champion, had lost his past six title deciders, comprising in that event in the past months.
Medvedev's counter-punching play style and recurring emotional displays on court had led some to doubt if his ability to play at the highest level was over.
But the player has altered his approach in the last few weeks, attempting to approach the net and compete assertively, supported by an enhanced serving game.
He fought back from a disadvantage in the initial set against the difficult Frenchman, winning 4 of the final five points to gain the advantage.
The competitors swapped service breaks in the second set before the Frenchman, attempting for his initial professional title, seized the initiative to push for a decider.
Moutet saved 4 early-game break points in a close deciding set before Medvedev broke to 15 to serve for the match.
Fittingly, the winner earned victory with a point at the net area, with Moutet incapable to handle a return after over two and a half hours.
